ODIS 12 LEAGUE RULES

League Format with Rules

Format: Match play two man best ball with handicaps. Each match will include 9 holes with one point available for every three holes for a total of three available points per league night.  Four golfers in group each have handicap.  Golfer with lowest handicap in group plays off scratch and the other three reduce their handicaps by the same amount. (Ex: 4, 9, 13, 15) handicaps would go off as 0, 5, 9, 11).

Handicaps: Handicaps will be determined by league history followed by GHIN (course members) for opening two weeks.  For new league members without GHIN or league history players will be assigned handicap based on comparison to other league players.  After first two weeks of league play handicaps will be adjusted by 90% of player's top scores

Subs: Players are responsible for finding own subs. If only one player shows for a team that player will play against both players on opposing team. If neither player shows for a team that team will forfeit all three points to opposing team. Regular season matches will not be rescheduled or played on a different date from scheduled league night. Only exceptions being rainouts or tournaments that fall on Thursday league nights. If this is the case league will be rescheduled by league officers.

Side Games: Skins & pins will be optional every week for all players.

The league will consist of four divisions and five teams per division.

Handicaps: 40% of the total team handicap will be used (example below). Teams will receive strokes on holes that qualify based on total team cap.
