Tournament Rules (all players)

  • All players will play from white tees (including seniors).

  • All players will be playing the ball down (as it lies) with the only exception of players are allowed to move ball in the fairway.

  • No skins, pins or side games are included in the tournament but side bets are allowed between players.

  • Opposing players determine whether putts are good or not during all matches.

  • Players may not hit practice or take any additional shots with exception of putts after hole is finished.

  • In match play the person furthest out is always up to hit. Even if player is off the green and another player is on the green it still is the furthest player who is out.

  • In team play one teammate can putt before the other teammate closer to the hole as long as it's that teams turn to hit.

  • In alternate shot players must alternate tee shots (odds and evens) and every other shot throughout each hole.

  • Once match ends players must stop playing and watch other matches or head back to report match result.

  • FLOWER BEDS are considered GROUND UNDER REPAIR. Player must find nearest point of relief within one club length no nearer to the hole.

  • POWER LINES...If any shot hits power line you must re-hit from same spot with no penalty.

  • HOLE #8 WHITE STAKES...Play all stakes as marked except hole #8 there will be no out of bounds on the left side of creek where white stakes are located.

  • Penalty Stakes  (White / Red / Yellow / Lost Ball)

    • White stakes = out of bounds. Players must re-hit provisional from same spot and take one stroke penalty if player does not find original shot. If player  doesn't hit from same spot they can drop in the fairway of spot ball crossed the perimeter of out of bounds stakes no nearer to the hole with two stroke penalty.

    • Red Stakes = hazards.  Player may hit out of hazard but may not touch/move ball at all.  Player may also take one penalty stroke and drop with in two club lengths to the point of ball entry if ball is unplayable.Player can go back as far as they like as long as they are keeping the line of sight from flagstick to drop area while going further back. Players also have the option to drop in fairway with two stroke penalty at point of entry for the ball.

    • Yellow stake is water hazard.  Player may hit out of water if possible or player must take stroke and may drop in closest drop area with one stroke penalty.

    • If a ball is lost or unable to be found in play the player must go back and re-hit from previous location with one stroke penalty or take two penalty strokes and hit from agreed upon location of lost ball. Presumably found is only allowed if opposing player(s) agrees.

  • If match is a tie after 18th hole match is “halved”.

  • Players may watch or assist teammates in matches but not interfere with overall play.

  • Feel free to cheer teammates and/or follow matches but be respectful of players that are playing.
